Warning: Do NOT go on VNVMC property if the event has not started. The owners are very protective of their land.

Google Map Link so you can get custom directions

(Directions from NYC at the bottom)

From Baltimore/DC:

Take Route 50 East to Route 301 North.
Veer/Turn Right at 299 East at Middletown
Go thru town (Odessa) very small and quaint, don't speed.
Turn Left at sign where indicated to stay on 299East
After 500 feet this turns into 9South
7 miles on 9South TWISTS/TURNS.
Bear right at sign to stay on 9South
VVMC is on the right, there is a sign.

Incidentally, you can access 301 from 95, so you *could* take 95 to 301(south) and do it backwards.

There are tolls so be prepared for that. It costs about $4.00 for tolls on I-95 in MD, headed Northbound only, then it's another $2.00 in Delaware.

The sign says Vietnams Veterans Motorcycle Club, 474 Flemmings Landing Road, and Fire Base Lloyd.

Public Service Announcement:

If, when heading to PDF, you usually take I-95 all the way to Delaware, don't!

Get off at exit 109B in MD, towards Newark, DE.

Proceed 2.2 miles and hang a right onto DE-2, aka Christiana Pwky. This is a big intersection with a big shopping center and Acme & Appleby's on your left (far corner).

At the first major intersection (2nd light, ~1.x miles) hang a right onto 896-S aka South College Ave.

You have just avoided the $2 toll and allthe traffic leading up to it.

From New York/New Jersey, Other Points North:

Take the NJ Turnpike South to the Deleware Memorial Bridge. To save some money I would suggest taking 295 instead.

Go over the Deleware Memorial Bridge and pay the $3.00 toll.

Keep to the right and take ROUTE 13 South

Route 13 (later to become 1 & 13) will first have a few lights and lots of stores if you need to get something you forgot. IT will then turn into a real highway. You will also go over a weird looking bridge and have to pay $1.00 toll.

Continue on this road to EXIT # 136 - ODESSA / Route 299 (mile marker 86)
(from the Deleware Memorial Bridge, apx 21 miles or apx 33 minutes depending on traffic)

Take the Exit Ramp and then turn left onto 299 East. ( If you need to do more shopping, take a right instead and you will see a few mini malls and then finally a Loew's.)
Once you make the Left onto 299 set your trip-odometer to zero at the first light (Lorenzo's Pizza on left) You have 8.3 miles left to travel or 13 minutes.

Continue straight through the village of Odessa. (Historic but according to tacoboy standards, there is much room for improvement) Go slow maintaining the speed limit. You will then go over a very small bridge over a creek.

Continue until you see a sign saying Route 299 pointing LEFT. Your trip-odometer will be at 1.5 miles. 299 East turns into Route 9 South after about 502 feet. This road twists and turns and has a few names. Proceed and you will later come upon a sharp RIGHT turn at 6.4 miles (real cool water tower on left). Follow the road Right and when you get to 8.3 miles, you will see the entrance on the right after a group of trees.

A sign says "Fire Base Lloyd" at the entrance as well as a smaller sign saying "Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club".

Their official adddress is: 474 Fleming's Landing Road and Fire Base Lloyd. Rt. 9 has several names, it just happens to be named this at the club.

Hope these directions made your trip more enjoyable!
