Art Grant Schedule for 2008: Applications available. Feb. 29, 2008 : Last day of accepting applications. Review, ask questions, determine the award for approved projects. March 30, 2008 : Notify artists of awards. Tentative Fall Schedule 2008: July 7, 2008 : Open applications for Fall 2008 August 2, 2008: Last day of accepting applications. How will your art work interact with the environment? 2. How will people interact with your art? 3. Who will help you create the artwork? Please be detailed in describing the specific person (if applicable) or type of assistance you will require (before the event, onsite unskilled, etc.) 4. How will your art process engage the community? Will people collaborate in its creation? Will people be able to actively participate in the experience of the piece? 5. How will the community be enriched by your artwork? 6. What are your related accomplishments? 7. Please list any URLs that display your artwork or projects that you've been involved with: 8. After completion, in order to get reimbursed, you will need to submit receipts of your project for our records. A sample contract is included in this application. Supplemental Materials and Where to Send Them: 1. A detailed description including dimensions, materials and content. 2. An itemized budget which includes material costs, equipment rental, and expendables (fuel, water) et cetera. Please be aware that we are not approving funding for an entire project at this time. 3. Detailed drawings, sketches, and plans, hand-drawn or computer generated. You may also send images or photographs of them with your proposal. 4. Whether or not your project requires specific on site accommodations, such as a burn pad, and whether or not you can supply these. 5. Specific or relative placement of your installment at the event (in a theme camp, stage, pavilion, etc.), if desired. 6. How loud is the project? 7. Is the project adult themed? [Note that this will not affect eligibility of your project. It is for planning information only. 8. Safety considerations: * Do you have a foul weather plan? * What safeguards are there if you are using electricity? * What safeguards are there if your project is large enough to pose a potential danger should it fall over or get blown over? * Are there any other safety concerns? Flammable materials mixed with propane/candles/etc? Sharp edges?
